The Hal Device Manager says it's a "Sakar Digital no. digiKam detects the camera as a "Digital Camera, CD302N." Using this default it can connect to the camera, and sees that I've taken 3 photos, but freezes at that point. Not having much luck with this camera under kubuntu. It sees my camera every time I plug it in. I installed the (windows) software using Wine. If you report to me this information, then thanks! It is plain text so there ought to be no problem to read it. If the reports are correct that the camera uses the MR97310 driver, it ought to work just fine in Linux, with support through gphoto2 and libgphoto2/camlibs/mars.Īlso, please anybody who has one of these, would you let me know what the USB Vendor and Product numbers are? Look in the "inf" file for that information. Anyone out there running Linux? If so, please check whether the Vivitar Mini Digital Camera is working for you or not.
